In Business - Then Be Prepared

The South African government has shown in many ways that they are in full support of SMME's, they have created portals of information and ways to help us young entrepreneurs fund our ideas and business ventures.

SEDA, Umsobomvu Youth Fund are just some of the government initiatives to help us on our path of "Entrepreneurship". It is still your responsibility though to ensure that you are in the forefront when it comes to obtaining information about the industry you want to enter into, to do your research, ask questions.

Must everyone cluster the same industries, think out of the box and be different - I realise that at times the formation of a business stems from the gap that already exists in the market but I just struggle to find unique offerings which gives us as consumers or clients a variety of choices to choose from.

When going on seminars or exhibitions it's shocking how a majority of businesses are the same - be innovative, partner with non-competing companies to offer services which are inter-related,go out there to dazzle, to assist your clients and most importantly make sure that every promise you make, you keep.
